Jane is the Principal Psychologist and founder of Psychological Wellness, bringing over two decades of experience in supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds to overcome psychological challenges. Her approach is centred on tailoring therapeutic strategies to meet each client’s unique needs, aiming to maximise the effectiveness of therapy and equip clients with tools for lasting resilience and relapse prevention.

Jane’s professional expertise is underpinned by extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Ego State Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MCBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). She integrates these modalities to deliver a deeply personalised and impactful therapeutic experience, always ensuring that her clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.

Jane’s career spans work in both Australia and the United Kingdom, where she has contributed to private and public mental health settings, including community crisis intervention teams, mental health services, family counselling centres, pain management clinics, and private practice. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages, addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, complex trauma, chronic pain, parenting difficulties, anger management, addiction, and self-esteem concerns.

Jane has a particular passion and expertise in working with trauma, including complex trauma stemming from childhood experiences, interpersonal relationships, and significant life events. She understands the far-reaching impact trauma can have on emotional and physical well-being and is committed to helping clients reclaim a sense of safety, agency, and self-worth. Jane’s trauma-informed approach is grounded in creating a secure and compassionate therapeutic environment where clients can process their experiences at their own pace. Her work often focuses on helping clients reconnect with their inner strengths, rebuild trust in themselves and others, and develop strategies to move forward with greater resilience and hope.

In addition to her focus on trauma, Jane has a strong interest in supporting injured clients, recognising the interconnected nature of physical health and emotional well-being. She has developed and implemented pain management programs designed to help clients regain control over their lives and enhance their quality of life.

Jane holds a Bachelor of Psychology and postgraduate qualifications in Child and Adolescent Psychology. She is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, is a Medicare provider, and a Work Cover Provider. Jane provides therapy to NDIS participants. She is also a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi) and the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA), reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and ongoing development.

Jane’s passion for psychology lies in helping clients navigate life’s challenges, uncover their inner strengths, and achieve meaningful and sustainable growth. Her approach is grounded in empathy, evidence-based practice, and a genuine commitment to her clients’ well-being. At Psychological Wellness, she strives to create a supportive and empowering environment where clients can confidently embark on their journey toward healing and transformation.
